Mentors Needed!
While the news about young people leaving church after high school is alarming, there is good news as well! Among those young adults who did not leave their faith behind, the majority of them say that the encouragement of a Christian mentor gave them “staying” power. This is absolutely incredible and offers so much hope for the future of Christianity!
Merriam-Webster defines a mentor as “a trusted counselor or guide,” while the Cambridge Dictionary describes a mentor as “a person who gives a younger or less experienced person help and advice over a period of time.”
Pathlight Ministries wants to partner with Christians who yearn to make a difference by sharing their life experiences with young adult Christians. We are eager to offer support and resources for mentors and mentees. Currently, we are working to develop curriculum to help foster these relationships. If you are interested in becoming a mentor for a young adult, or if you are a teen or young adult looking for a mentor, please let us know by completing our connect card.
